From Tokyo to the Snow Monkeys of Nagano

Twelve days and the whole country at once: the neon of the capital, spring-fed ponds beneath Mt. Fuji, the temples of Kyoto, the torii gate of Itsukushima rising from the water — and Japanese macaques bathing in hot springs in the mountain valley of Jigokudani.

The route goes where ordinary programs don’t look: Nagoya, Nagano, the village of Obuse, and a ryokan in Yudanaka Onsen — with an overnight stay on tatami mats and dinner by a hot spring.

Eight excursions with a Russian-speaking guide are already included in the price — along with entrance tickets and train travel along the route.

    Why Choose This Tour?

Japan in depth, not just the highlights. Alongside the classic set — Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto, Hiroshima — the itinerary adds Nagoya, Nagano, the village of Obuse, and the hot springs of Yudanaka. These places rarely make it into standard programs, and they’re exactly the ones that stay in your memory.

The snow monkeys of Jigokudani. The only monkeys in the world that take hot baths. A valley of “hellish” geysers, steam rising over the water, and macaques sitting in the springs with the most unbothered expressions — a shot you’ve probably seen before, but few have witnessed in person.

A night in a ryokan with an onsen. In Yudanaka Onsen we stay overnight in a traditional Japanese inn: tatami mats, futons, a Japanese-style dinner, and bathing in a thermal spring. A singular experience worth the trip on its own.

Autumn as the main character. October, November, and early December are the season of momiji: maples blaze crimson, ginkgo trees turn gold, the air is clear, and the chances of seeing Fuji uncovered are noticeably higher than in summer.

Eight excursions already included in the price. The guide, entrance tickets, and trains along the route are paid for in advance. On site, you’ll only need to add what you personally choose to.
